The thought of keeping a little blog to document the ups and downs and ins and out of this new adventure that we just began seems a bit daunting and exciting all at the same time. Especially because I have been working on starting this for the last week and a half. I have come to realize that my schedule is no longer my schedule and that the time will truly have to be made. For those of you who know how spacey I can be on a regular basis- you should see me now. Holy baby brain. I would start to type and within minutes be distracted by a shiny object, laundry (ugh - seriously who needs clean clothes and why do babies make so many dirty ones?), food (yes- from the queen of eating, I have actually forgotten to do it a few times) or the couch/bed (I will go for whichever one is closer at the moment - whoever said "sleep when baby sleeps" is so right on it isn't even funny). But now after 17 days of being a mommy I am feeling motivated (it could be the 3.5 hour stretch of sleep I got last night) and ready to rock and roll and get into a good new routine and lucky you readers- share what I can along the way... Honestly there are a few reasons why I wanted to get started with a new blog first being I actually kind of like it when I have good material, it is a great way for me to be able to share the day to day happenings with my all importnat family who I am not always able to see on a daily or weekly or even monthly basis and lastly if the last 17 days are any indication of what the rest of this child's life will be like it truly needs to be documented. Because this is the first of many posts to come and I already can't decide which story to share first I will just introduce the little one who is and will continue to be the motivation for this guilty pleasure of mine...

Yes I know - that after 17 days she does look a little different that the pictures above... (those pictures will come but we are playing catch up now so we have to start from the beginning)... many would probably say bigger and as of today YES she is by 4 oz. ... woohoo 7lbs 11oz and now we can stop visiting the doctor once a week! But our little nugget has taken her time to grow and went the opposite direction first. We have spent a good amount of time training her to be just like Mommy and love a good meal though (even though she doesn't get many options at this point - she got the drift and loves to eat - every 2-3 hours to be exact and NO it doesn't matter if it is day or night). And as a matter of fact we are starting to get hungry now... I guess that is my cue to go!
